If a child is feeling unwell or has hurt themselves they should either tell their class teacher during lesson time or a duty teacher if it happens at morning tea or lunchtime.
If necessary the child will be sent into the medical room near the office to be looked after by the office staff. Parents/Caregivers (or the next available person on the emergency contact list if they cannot be reached) will be notified by phone if the child needs further medical attention or to go home. All staff have had first aid training and all attend a refresher course every two years.
If a child is suffering from vomiting and diarrhoea, please keep them off school for at least 48 hours since their last bout to prevent it spreading.
