We understand that sometimes it is necessary for children to bring medication to school, however where possible medication it should be avoided. If medication is essential the following procedures must be followed:

  • Medication is to be taken to the School Office together with a letter from the child’s parent authorising the administration of the medication and giving clear instructions as to the dose and time to be taken.
  • Medicines, tablets etc. will be stored either in the Administration Officer’s storeroom or the Staffroom fridge.
  • Medication will usually be administered by office staff and recorded in the medication book.

NO MEDICINES ARE TO BE KEPT IN CLASSROOMS OR CHILDREN’S BAGS.
